BWV004 Cantata: Christ Lag In Todesbanden

Johann Sebastian Bach composed the cantata for Easter Sunday early in his career; its style implies a date between 1707 and 1713.

The cantata in eight movements is scored for soprano, alto, tenor, and bass, two violins, two violas and basso continuo.
