Elijah (Elias) (Op. 70 MWV A 25)

Elijah, was composed in 1846 for the Birmingham Festival. It depicts various events in the life of the prophet Elijah, as described in the books 1 Kings and 2 Kings in the Old Testament.

We provide everything for choir and soloists to learn and rehearse their parts. Elijah (Elias) is set mainly for four part choir (occasionally eight parts) and nine soloists, though the number of soloists is variable depending on resources.

  • All the sections for the chosen soloist part with instrumental assistance for the solo part. (Wind Instrument).
  • All the sections for the chosen soloist part with noassistance (As the orchestra plays)
  • In addition, since many of the soloist sections are duets, trio's and quartets (one double quartet) we provide the soloist parts played together without the orchestra, as well as providing tracks that omits your vocal part, so that you can rehearse your part while hearing the other parts.
